BORN IN SHANGHAI,  LIVED AND TRAINED ALL OVER THE WORLD,  ATTENDED RICE UNIVERSITY, AND FELL IN LOVE WITH TENNIS ALL OVER AGAIN.

BORN IN SHANGHAI

Born in Shanghai, China in 2002 and began playing tennis at the age of five. During early stage of tennis development, became No. 1 ranking in Shanghai in the under-10 category. At age ten, moved to the United States to pursue high-performance training. Following this period of training, transitioned into international junior competition, now competing on the global stage professionally.

TRAINED ALL OVER THE WORLD

Trained across some of the world’s premier tennis centers—including the United States, Spain, Serbia, Italy, and China—developing a versatile, internationally informed playing style. This global development pathway and commitment to high-performance competition led to achieving a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 833 in the world.

DIVISION 1 TENNIS AT
RICE UNIVERSITY

During the time at Rice University, he made an immediate impact on the men’s tennis program, earning the No. 1 singles position as a freshman. He delivered an outstanding 17–5 record in his first season, showcasing consistency, competitiveness, and leadership at the top of the lineup. His performance earned him both Team MVP honors and the Conference USA Freshman of the Year award, distinguishing him as one of the conference’s top newcomers. Midway through the season, an injury significantly limited his ability to compete, sidelining him for much of the remaining schedule. Despite this setback, he continued to compete for Rice and his early-season achievements left a lasting mark on the program and reflected his high-performance potential.
